Truth is one of my favorite subjects. The truth has been made plain to me over the last several years. Not too long ago, since I have been writing this post, I had another spiritual awakening. God opened my heart completely opened to the truth. I thought I had been given the ability to discern and then I was given more. I saw more.
I chased my own thoughts of the truth. Sitting at the bar discussing philosophical garbage thinking we were all smart. We sat there trying to find out what was true. People can come up with any excuse they want. Trust me I did my whole life.
People like to say, "well, that is your truth.". I tell all of you that could not be farther from the truth. My truth is lies. All lies. I know this by the fruits I was bearing. I was a disaster for myself and everyone around me.
Many believers find the one truth. It is only the Word of God. This word is called Jesus. What He says is truth. If I say something without consulting Him I may not be speaking in tune with the Holy Spirit and I might talk out the side of my mouth.
In the last five years I have done a deep dive into human nature, history, and economic history to see where we cam from. I read and listened to about 30 books on these subjects. Milton Freidman, Thomas Sowell, Jordan Peterson, Just to name a few more popular authors.
Combine that knowledge with the other stuff God gave me and I know it is a scammer calling me before I answer. I can see the truth. I can see through people and their motives. I know all of this because I lived it. I have fist hand knowledge. I was that.
Can you tell truth from lies? God gives me the ability to see truth if I ask and then listen. I love living in the truth it is much easier.
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for exposing the truth over the last 4 years to the world about the lies we have been told for 100 years. Keep our minds focused on the things of the Spirit so we can discern the lies from what is real. Guide us today as we represent Your Truth and not ours. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.
