Reason To Give

‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ ~Matthew 25:40

This single verse had a tremendous impact on me. It reminds me that everyone is created in the image of God. We are all united. Both believers and those who don't. I look at people and I see God's creation not some drunk homeless guy. This really helps me to keep my judgement at bay.

God has given so much to me I am trying to find ways to return the favor by doing what he asks of me. To love one another. Because God has changed my heart I now wish to use the talents gifted to me and help others see the truth. I always loved being helpful. When I was living for the world I still wanted to give. My motives were all jacked. I did not really want public praises I just wanted to help and I did not know why. I had no foundation for giving. I had no reasons really except to perhaps make me feel like I am doing what the world would ask.

I got rejected and hated on. People would shun me even though I was there to help. I was not giving from my heart. Once I got closer to the word and learned I found a legit reason to give. Jesus is the reason for the season. It is called Christmas not x-mas. Do you have a reason to give? I give because of that verse up top. I want to do what Jesus asked me to do. So here I am. Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for giving us all a reason to give. Let our egos stand aside while the spirit works through us. Keep our hearts from judgement of others remembering you created them too. Thank you for your generosity and patience you have for us. I thank you in Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you everyone for being here. I love all you guys. WWJD For Life! 🥰
