One Man Listened

Our timeline is after the Great Flood of Noah, and the world was still full of sin. Gnosticism was rampant all over the known world. No one was heeding the call of God, but one man listened.
In the sight of God, Abram, later renamed Abraham by God, was a righteous man. Abraham had a good heart, and God chose to speak to him out of everyone on this planet. God had a promise He needed to fulfill, and Abraham was just the guy to do it.
Before Abraham, there was no redemption for sin. Abraham was the first to sacrifice to the one and only true God. He listened to God, and God made him some promises. God needed to do something spectacular, but He needed someone to kick it off.
Abraham is the father to Israel and the Arabs. This is why they fight like siblings over what they think God the Father wants them to do. One is of love, and one is of hate. I chose the love side.
It took me until I was 50 to finally listen. I had to hit a bottom so low I had to get a ladder to scratch the belly of an ant. Some people do not have to hit a bottom that low. God will speak to them, and they just listen like a normal person.
Do you hear God speak to you? Jesus sent me the Holy Spirit to relay messages straight from God's mouth. They are the same: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is my guide.
Dear Heavenly Father, please help us to take the cotton out of our ears and put it in our mouths so we can listen to You more clearly. Thank You for picking Abraham, for he was strong in the faith and upheld Your commands. Help us to listen and obey You even though our pea brains do not understand all of the time. I thank You in Jesus' name, Amen.
