Making Room

Our Daily Bread devotional writes about the birth of Jesus. That specific moment Joseph and Mary were turned away at the Inn and had to take shelter in a manger. There was no place fitting by anyone's standards for our Lord to be born.

Fast forward and now there are billions of people that know about and most believe in Jesus. We have room in our hearts for our Savior. If we focus on that goodness that fills us all of the promises made to us will be completed.

By making room in my heart for Jesus the evil sinner in me will have less space to take hold. I wish to fill my heart completely and that day will come. When I go home. I am human for now and am reminded of it when I make wrong decisions.

Filling up on Jesus will give me more than I need and now I am to share what I have with others. I am not to hoard anything. I can use it and save it to build more to help more but not to buy a Jet.

If I really love someone then I will tell them the truth and not lie to them to make them feel good. This overflowing Jesus in my hart convicts me to be truthful and loving. Why would I lie to people I love?

Are you making room for Jesus in your hearts? I find it is way better than filling my heart with selfish nonsense. I am oh so happy to be free from the constraints of self, for the most part. Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for making room for all of us in your Kingdom if all we do is ask. Help our hearts and minds stay aligned with the truth so we may love others they way you love us. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen. Thank you everyone for being here. I love all you guys. WWJD For Life! 🥰 https://www.odbm.org/devotionals/devotional-category/room-for-jesus
