In 1992 I was sitting in the county Jail waiting for sentencing for my crimes. I thought I was going to be a drug dealer but, it turns out I was just a user. I was in rough shape. The fact I weighed 112lbs was the indicator of my physical health.
One day some dude got mad at me and used a popular jail house insult, "You weren't arrested. You were rescued!" Implying I had not the skill to be a criminal but that the cops saved me from myself. I giggle because he was right. I was the only guy in jail smiling because I was alive and healing from the effects of drugs. I was recued.
I still lived in sin for many years after that and suffered much more pain. I tried and tried to get things right. Money flowed through my hands as if it was water. I could never keep a solid relationship. I would burn every bridge I crossed. I was skilled but could never keep a job.
I decided to make changes and attended the Alcoholics Anonymous program and began to work the Twelve Steps. Working the steps showed me exactly how selfish I had been my whole life. I was only serving myself. I was still tired but I knew what was wrong. I tried the A.A. life but there was more.
The Great Plandemic really forced me to look for truth. I had exhausted all of my efforts looking for it. Then I decided to open up my Bible and began to read from the start once again. This time I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit when I read. My heart was open. I finally felt safe.
I surrendered my life to Christ even though I was born again when I was younger. I dedicated my life to live it as He asks of me. I finally realized Jesus rescued me every time I was out of line.
Do you feel that Jesus has rescued you? I know it for a fact. The evidence is clear to me. My life is a testimony of the great works of our Lord Jesus. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for pulling us out of the pit. Thank you for giving us a way out of our sinful nature. I thank you for the desire to live for you so we needn't any more rescuing from ourselves. I thank you in Jesus name, Amen.
Thank you everyone for being here. I love all you guys. WWJD For Life! 🥰
