Encouraging Promises

I love the book of Isaiah. There is much writings about God's promises to Israel and the prophecies of the coming Messiah. During that time Israel was in shambles and in pain. They needed encouragement. They needed hope.

God has given me hope through his promises to me. By reading the Bible I can see all of the promises God has made throughout time and every one has been fulfilled. Why would he deny me mine? This is my hope. I know God will never lie to me.

I was promised peace and happiness if I just gave up myself. The Bible tells us this. We are to die to self, "And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me." ~Luke 9:23

I know God uses encouraging promises to help me keep my heart focused on good. Good only comes from God. It is selfless. If I try to do good without the guidance of Jesus then I am doing it for myself. Then I break my promise to God.

I would rather live a life following Jesus than anything else. We all follow something, even the Atheist. Following Jesus at least give me everything He promised me. Peace, joy, happiness, knowledge, and everything I need to live in this physical world.

Do you believe that God's promises for you have been fulfilled? If not why? If I think I am not being heard by God I have to ask myself am I pleasing Him by doing what he asks of me? Am I listening to Him? Am I doing it for Him or me?

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the written word so we can read about all of your promises that have all been carried out. Thank you for giving us the desire to die to ourselves and put you first. Let our lives be the evidence that you encourage us and give us hope through your promises. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you everyone for being here. I love all you guys. WWJD For Life! 🥰
