Got has blessed me with the skills of painting and finishing. I started out in custom car restoration and moved on to residential and commercial coating. Cars, doors, cabinets, houses, and what ever else holds paint, I do that.
I have been in construction just short of 35 years. I see buildings fall apart and deteriorate in time. Everything we build with our hands will fall. I have to repaint stuff to keep it from falling. This is the result of sin. We toil until we die.
Man tried to build the tower of Babel to reach the heavens. We all spoke the same language and God noticed how smart we were when the whole world could communicate. He saw how defiance and sin won the hearts of man. So, he split us all up and gave us different languages to slow us all down.
I have found something worthy of building. This blog for one. Lifting up others and building something that will last throughout time. Jesus tells us to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all nations. I am to build His kingdom with whatever I have available to me whether it be skills and or monies.
My painting skills pays the bills and gives me the time to find ways to tell people about Jesus and help them when I can. I am now building for God. This excites me every day even though it is the same routine for now. I love doing this right here. Sharing my experiences with that one person that can relate.
Are you looking for ways to build for God? It is my daily walk and talk that is the thing that is most important. Am I a hypocrite? Someone who sins is not a hypocrite. Someone who portrays to be of God and decidedly lives in sin is a hypocrite. I am all forgiven when I reject my old self.
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the desire you have put in our hearts to build your Kingdom. Help us to show your love that we may prove you are real to those who seek the truth. Guide our hearts and minds so we may build our lives up for you. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.
