An Attitude Of Gratitude

Be joyful always; pray continually; and give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. ~1 Thessalonians 5:16

My heart has been truly reset. It is a complete turnaround. When I finally surrendered to the will of God, things began to change. The Holy Spirit is there guiding me all the time and making me feel guilty when I do something selfish or mean.

Many people reject Jesus because they do not wish to be held to account for their actions. I, for most of my life, tried to shut down the voices. Those voices that tell me not to do that thing I was about ready to do that helped no one.

Following the will of God for me has been truly amazing. I listen to the Holy Spirit when I feel guilty. I take it as a sign. I am forever grateful for the guidance I receive. I have an attitude of gratitude now. I am thankful for everything I have.

I know that God has my best interest in mind. I know that all things will be taken care of in good times and bad. I know that keeping a grateful spirit will lead to many blessings. I am much, much happier now that I do not feel I need to keep up with the Joneses.

Are you thankful for what you have? I constantly thank God for everything all day. Maybe I have PTSD and am overcharged with gratitude from being a poor kid, but I think God likes that. I pray all day for the whole world. When I watch the news, I pray for victims and aggressors. How do I say thank you to God? Do what he asks.

Dear Heavenly Father, I cannot thank you enough for the grace you have given anyone who asks freely. Thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to convict our hearts to keep us on task with Jesus. Help us to remain in a constant state of thankfulness in prayer for your good works we see all around us. I pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.
