I can not start without mentioning the writer of the Our Daily Bread Post at www.odb.org for today. Her name is Nancy. She told my story and I can relate to her bigly.
Nancy tells us that when she was a kid she would hang out with all different cultures. Doing this brought her grief from her fellow Hispanics. But she was always attracted to the mix of the differences in God's creation.
I grew up the same way. In mixed cultures. Sure I got picked on for being the only white kid around, a lot. That really did not phase me because I still made friends with others. Then they would get to like me once they knew me.
I tried that in prison and it caused me all kinds of hassles. Mostly from my own culture of white people. They hated me for betraying the Aryan Nation. Seriously? I would think to myself these white dudes are as backwards as the ones that hate us. I did not back down and surrender to them. I was friends with the people I liked no matter their background. One of my best friends had a black dad and a Mexican mother. I met him in prison 25 years ago. I took a lot of guff for hanging out with him.
This will all end. We will no longer be divided. John writes in Revelation that we will all come together. The Jews are being called home first then we will all be collected up to face our God. No matter what people believe they will be brought before the Throne. Then the real party starts. We will all be pals. It will be a global gathering for sure. I can not wait for that
What can you do to practice this love today? It all ends in love, after the fire of course. There will be no more enemies. All of our hearts will be changed no one will hate another.
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for giving us signs that gives us hope based on your Word. Let our hearts stay focused on your commandment to love one another. Do not let hate gain a foothold in us so we may be a beacon for those who are lost. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.
Thank you everyone for being here. I love all you guys. WWJD for Life! 🥰
